  • Great news!
Is there already a scheduled release date for V2.0?

  • Is is possible to get an notification when a new osTicket-Version is released? Like RSS-Feed or E-Mail-Notification?

I am searching for like 30 minutes, but cannot find anything besides manually reloading the forum or downloadpage.

    Thanks!

      Yeah, well. Kevin wrote:

Guess it just needs some time to come up with an update to fix the issue then?

    • ntozier I'm not sure, but i cannot see any fix in the post. Just another description of the issue. I am currently running the following config/server:

    • We have the same issue here. Is there any fix available?

    • Hey there osTicket community,

do you know if it is possible, to edit/add ticketdetails viewed in the user portal? For now the users see only limited information like Ticket Status, Department, Creation Date and his own user information. We would like to add at least the information about the assignee and Topic, aswell as a custom field wich indicates the workhours spent on this ticket. (See attached an example of the view right now)

      Thank you in advance!
      Regards, Pascal A.

    • ah thank you, we may use this as a workaround. But it still would be a nice feature (Aswell as a custom profile picture uploaded for agents 🙂 )

    • We would also be very happy about this feature coming to osTicket. We told our employees to 'CC' their supervisor when opening a ticket.

    • Hey there!

As a future feature it would be nice, if we could have the ability to schedule ticket-exports. For example, on each first day of a month a configured ticket queue should be exported as csv with configurable columns etc. to be sent to a given email or shared folder.

This feature would help us very much, as we are currently exporting manually (having a saved queue and pressing on export). I already wrote some threads to ask for help to do this automatically, only thing i have get is a suggestion to run scheduled SQL-Exports from the server itself.

      thank you very much!

    • Okay, sometimes writing about a problem gives the solution.
i just forgot to delete the form on the help-articles too, so they wont auto-add

      Sorry, problem solved!

    • Hey there!

I created a custom form where we could input working time on that ticket. Later on i added that custom field into the already existing "Ticket Details"-form and deleted the custom form.

First i thought that worked good. Existing tickets still kept the form and new ones (from mail) didnt, also i couldnt add it manually. But then a ticket was created via web and then the deleted form was automatically added. I can delete it manually and cannot re-add it (as i expected) but what do i need to do so it wont automatically adds by new tickets via web?

      Sorry for my bad english.

If needed i can also provide screenshots with example if that helps.

      Thank you in advance.

      tl;dr:

created the form -> auto-add to new tickets
deleted the form -> form still adds automatically on tickets created by web

    • Okay, thank you for that information. I may thought of creating a "report agent" which has access to all tickets in read-only and export them with that credentials.
But this all seems kinda meh to me...
I will check for some SQL-export stuff and will propably do that.

      Thank you!

    • So i have to this directly via an SQL-script? I can not use a simple bash-script which calls a webfunction to osTicket and exports certain tickets to csv? As i can export tickets via the webgui without any problem, this is not possible to do with a script which is calling for example "osticket-export.php -export -format=csv -parameter-for-tickets" or so?

    • Thank you for your reply. But how do i set up the script? What command do i have to use to pull the data from osTicket? Thats my problem actually!

An example would help me a lot.

    • Hey there,

i recently upgraded our osticket installation to V1.15.1 and was wondering how i can schedule csv-exports via cron (shell script). I read some discussions were this should be possible but i cannot find any documentation or examples how i can do that.

We migrated recently from spiceworks to osTicket and we would need (for long term usage) a scheduled export of all Tickets (every month) saved as a .csv-file so our controlling department can calculate internal cost centers, which are documented according to the time spent on the tickets.

Would be nice if anybody could help me with that.

For now our workaround ist exporting this csv manually.

      Thank you in advance!

      Edit:

Maybe there is a feature in osTicket itself where you can schedule exports of certain contents like uickets, agents, users etc. to send this via e-mail or write to a shared folder.

    • ntozier Thank you for the answer. Thats the point of my problem, i want to write a script but i dont know how to export the csv. I Propably need to do some web-call or something but i cannot find anything. Is there an example or something?

    • Hi!
I need to export all open and closed tickets every month. I saw that this should be possible with class.export.php but i cannot find any "how to" or docs about this.

Has anyone a example or a doc how i can set up a bash script with the usage to export all open and closed tickets every month?

This is needed from our controlling department so they can assign internal timecosts to the other departments.

I can do this manually every month, but i prefer this to be automated.

      Thank you in advance!
