  • I see there are post about the youtube embedded video but we plan not to use youtube videos because we want only a logged in users in osticket to access the videos. Also we want users to upload the video in the thread so manually uploading and getting the embedded link is not an ideal option for us.

  • Previously we were using osticketawesome but later we have moved to plain osticket. All the things are working well except the inline videos. Previously we used to have a video upload option when we click on the video icon in rich text editor now it only gives the option to input embedded link.

    Since the videos that were uploaded before are showing inline now , I believe it is just a setting issue. Just incase if it is helpful I am adding a screenshot of the database in answer column. We use the osticket amazon S3 plugin.

  • Is it possible for me to manually trigger the update ? I will do the upgrade after I copy or replace the database into my new connection

  • Hi,
    Since I use the navicat, to directly copy the content of old database to the new database, osticket does not trigger the upgrade.

    I know the upgrade is successful because after the data transfer, I can use the old system login credentials to login to the fresh installation. Also in the admin panel of osticket , I can also see all the agents information too which were registered in old system.

  • Also this only happens after I copy the old tables to the new one, in the fresh installation there isn't any problem.

  • Hi, yes it has the access to all the departments. At the moment all the agents have access to all the departments.

    I freshly installed the osTicket in a new machine. Then I copied everything except ost_config table from my old database which was working with 1.12 version of osticket. Now after installation everything looked fine in the first glance, but when I check the ticket column they are don't show up. When I try to open a new ticket under a user, then it gives an error 500.

    Below is my current setting, please let me know if there is anything I am doing wrong

  • If there is something we can do about it lets do it 😃. For me I can do

    1. PRD
    2. some SQL or
    3. Can contribute from $99-$999 dollar for the project

  • Just in case if someone is looking, you can use navicat then convert the database into model, from the model one can again export the database as image. Hope this helps 😃

  • I want to write some script to get some data from database so that I can do some summary of tickets. Since I am planning to write a mysql query and I think getting the database mapping like attach in the picture would be very helpful. Since I am not able to find any mapping like that on internet, I am thinking of making so I was wondering if I can get the code that is used for creating the database while installing the database, however if there is already a database mapping that would be best.

  • Was just wondering, exporting the columns value that are listed in the page might solve the problem isn't, because we can list those number in the search the only question is about the exporting. So if we export what is displayed then we can export the custom fields also right.

  • Our company has decided to implement online solution for complain registration system/ ticketing system. Upon a little bit of research I reached to three conclusion OS ticket, Zendesk and Salesforce.

    The decision committee is planning to go for salesforce as it is a system that is already implemented in other company (company where I work is a sister company of another big one). Although my personnel opinion is to go with OS ticket, the some are saying its can be very inconvenient for people to switch between the platform and integrating osticket with our ERP system. Integrating with our ERP with OSticket will be extra work as they have already finished integrating salesforce with our ERP system.

    So considering such situation is it possible to integrate the OSticket system with salesforce? If so how difficult is the work and is it recommended? I saw a thread which talks about this but its already closed. Hope you guys will have answer. Thank you
