Hi I have installed osTicket v1.10. I want my co-worker to receive an e-mail alert when someone created a thread. How do I set up this? Thanks!

So then why did you post this in the 1.8 section of the forums?  /boggle.  Moving to 1.10 section of the forums.Does your coworker have an agent account in osTicket?

Sorry I didn't know I was posted in the 1.8 section.No. please  provide me the step by step instruction? Thanks!

Go to Admin panel -> Agents.Click Add New Agent.

Okay, Is it possible to make my coworker an administrator too? After I filled out all privileges and stuff and hit save. What will happen next?

Q: Is it possible to make my coworker an administrator too?A: You can make your coworker access level whatever you want it to be.Q: After I filled out all privileges and stuff and hit save. What will happen next?A: It will create an account and email him the New Agent template with the login link.

I tested sending out an email on my Diagnostic tool and I received it. My coworker didn't get any email. What am I missing here?

Sorry but you have provided zero context for your question.  How/what did you send them as an email?  a ticket update?  the welcome email?  a new ticket alert?

Right after I created his account as agent he didn't get a new agent template and stuff.

A: It will create an account and email him the New Agent template with the login link. You meant OS will email my coworker here?

Someone else posted saying that there was an issue with that announcement email, so it might not have.  I reported it to the devs but have not heard back at this time about that.

Sorry I don't follow you. Are you still addressing my email alert issue?

Yes and no.A: It will create an account and email him the New Agent template with the login link. You meant OS will email my coworker here?Someone else posted saying that there was an issue with that announcement email , so it might not have .  I reported it to the devs but have not heard back at this time about that.

Okay. Let me know when you have a solution for my problem. Thanks.

.... You already have a solution to your problem.....

There something is missing in the solution.  My coworker didn't get an email after I created an account for him.

Did you add him to departments?Did that department get any tickets?   Did any pre-existing tickets get updated?

Did you add him to departments? NoDid that department get any tickets?  So far, I am the one who gets an email alert. This is a new installation. I didn't touch any setting. Just installed the OS ticket 1.0. So, everything is new.  Did any pre-existing tickets get updated? This a new installation. So there are some settings I didn't do somewhere.  I am not able to locate a full instruction to set up an email alert for my colleague. Please help.

He cannot get ticket announcements if there is nothing to announce.  So Add him to a department.Check your Alerts and Notifications for tickets.Create a ticket.  See if he gets an announcement.

Let's recap.  I enabled my coworker to all setting under Tasks. So you said do these steps:1/ Add him as an agent2/ Assign him to a department3/ Test a dummy ticket to see if he gets an alert. That's all?
