I'm trying to update a ticket that was emailed into the helpdesk. The body of the email is part of the ticket thread as it should be. When I try to edit the ticket to change the help topic, sla plan etc. I get an error message to enter issue details. Shouldn't the issue details already be populated by the body of the email. I'm confused.

Thank you.Q: Shouldn't the issue details already be populated by the body of the email. A: Did the original email have details in the body?

I'm running the following server and yes the orginal email did have the details in the body.Server InformationosTicket Versionv1.10 (901e5ea) —  Up to dateWeb Server SoftwareApache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu)MySQL Version10.0.28PHP Version7.0.8-0ubuntu0.16.04.3

MySQL 10? wtf, I thought I installed the latest version, 5 off their site. am I missing something?

When I click on the ticket and click Edit.... It does not give me the ability to see nor edit the Issue Details.I'd recommend that you downgrade PHP to 5.6 and see if that helps since a lot of people have reported wonky issues with 7+
