Hello all,I'd like that the feature of sending a mail to OSTicket works, but it is not the case. Each time I receive a mail from my catchall address. Same problem when answering a ticket via email. All the rest is working very fine !I think I missconfigured something but don't know what… Here is the environment of OSTicket :OSTicket version : 1.9.3 (bba9ccc)Server Soft : Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)PHP version : 5.3.3.7+squeeze19MySQL Version : 5.1.73PHP Extensions : gdlib, imap, xml, xml-dom, json, gettext, mbstring, pharSettings->Emails->Incoming Emails->Email Fetching Enabled, but not Fetch on auto-cronFetching Email via POP enabledAdmin's Email address and email incoming address are different : admin's email is admin1@mydomain.net and email tab's address is  : support@mydomain.net.It seems mail is not incoming or "taken" by the system…Any help really appreciated…Regards. Olivier

Hi,I have exactly the same problem.A friend of mine also installed OS Ticket on a server different from mine (different hosting company) and has the same problem. We asked OS Ticket and they replier we had to pay for their help.Well, if I have to pay because there is a bug in the system, this is no open source :-)If anyone has a solution, please express yourself...Thanks,Luc.

Well, if I have to pay because there is a bug in the system, this is no open source :-)

From what address did you download your osTicket installation package and where did ask for support?! Just asking because this sounds like someone tried to scam you and is not the correct contact person / support for osTicket, since they would not want you to pay for that!

First, the correct osTicket web page, github repository and so on:http://www.osticket.com/http://www.osticket.com/downloadhttps://github.com/osTicket

Next, let me answer your question with the tickets. It sounds like you forgot to setup a cron job / scheduled task to import the mails into the osTicket system. Therefore see the osTicket wiki:

Thank you Chefkeks,It seems I didn't setup the cron job, yes, you're right !I asked my provider because I don't have access to cron.I'll post anyway when it will be configured (or not)…Oliver

@[deleted] - Just for the record we do indeed charge for support for users who don't want to go to the community support (forum/wiki/gitHub) route. The disappointing part about doing open source software is the expectation that since you're free then you're expected to provide free support as well, even for issues not related to osTicket per se.

@[deleted] I know there is paid support, but I thought they won't come here afterwards and complain about it here, where they get community support for free and so with that in mind I answered it and asked who the asked for support and so on. Will next time better answer question like that ;)

@[deleted] - It's all good - your answer was spot on. I just wanted to clarify about paid support.

Ok… in fact, it was the catchall email that…catches every mail. The result was no mail was waiting for OSTicket !Removing that catchall email and asking my provider for cron tab instead of auto cron and now everything is working !Thanks for the advices.Olivier

Glad to hear that you got things worked out on your end.  I'll mark this resolved and close the thread.
