I try to change the authentication for an existing email address in osticket and used this guide. I tried it now multiple times and think I made everything correct, but as soon as I click "Add" in the config screen, osticket hangs with "Loading" forever, and the changes are not saved.

Anyone else had this problem?

I found the solution. It seems like "upgrading" an existing e-mail address from basic auth to oauth2 is not working. I had to delete the existing mail address (by using a temporary dummy address in all settings) and then to create a new address. Now my first tests with sending and receiving mails were successful!

    Interesting.
I upgraded several email addresses from basic auth to oauth2 and didn't have this problem.
    Whats your environment?

I had this problem as well, and removing and re-adding fixed mine also. I'm on Ubuntu 22.04/Apache2/osTicket 17

Dealing with the same thing with the default email, it@... and I can't delete it.

@mhayden-dmatrix why can't you delete an email in osTicket?
If its because its the default email address, just pick another email as s the default then deleted it.
Recreate the email in osTicket, and change the default email back to it.
