Hello, guys.

I'm facing some trouble at implementing a functionality in osticket and don't know if any of you can help me.

Right now i got the ticket filter with obviously the base filters (also the ones i've done on custom forms) but i want to add one filter that is based on the ticket number or ticket id.

I don't know if any of you have experienced this issue, if so, i would thank the help.

I got another option that is to implement a javascript code plus a form field that is hidden to the user (but this will be limited because of the javascript enabled or disabled in the site).

Thank you for the attention.

  • I'm not aware of a way to do this in the UI.

There might be a plugin or mod that does something like that. Look for round robin assign

You may find a plugin on the list of osTicket Resources on my personal web site and here on the forums that you might find useful. It includes a list of Community Plugins. Here are the two links:

    https://tmib.net/resources-for-osticket/

As a disclaimer: While many people do use 3rd Party Plugins (Also called Community Plugins) it is important to know that they have not been evaluated by, are not supported by, are not recommended by, and are not written by the Developers of osTicket. You will need to reach out to the author of the Community Plugin that you are using for support.

You cannot run a Ticket Filter on ticket number or ticket id.
Ticket Filters, run at time of ticket creation so they would not have those fields yet.

What is your end goal?

My end goal is to assign a ticket to an agent when the ticket number ends in 1 or 2, to another when it ends in 3 or 4 and so on...

Is there any way to acomplish this?
