In the following 4 images, we have a partial translation in arabic.
This is the arabic pack downloaded from the official website https://osticket.com/download/ .
We can't change these from the settings as they are literally the settings, columns, dropdowns, etc
Not talking about the actual content and tickets. Those we entered in english ourselves. Just the overall buttons and system texts.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

This isn't helpful, but I can tell you that the translation efforts on osTicket have not been completed at this time.
I am not sure which pieces have not been completed, but it is very likely that either the strings do not exist yet in the language pack, or that those parts haven't been done yet.

Is there any way to report this? To highlight the issue for them to notice?

We see all. 😎

You can go to http://i18n.osticket.com to assist in the translation efforts. If you see something translated there but it’s not in osTicket then most likely the language packs need to be rebuilt to add the newly translated strings.

We usually rebuild language packs and plugins on every new release.

Cheers.

Im not sure off the top of my head tbh. The site should have a search box to search for strings to translate. You can simply type the word/phrase you are wanting to translate and it should appear in the results.

Cheers.

Actually I just tried and it only seems to search the current file.

You can grep the .phar file for the strings or open it in a text editor and search and it should show you what file it’s in. If you open the .phar file in a text editor you may need to search the string and scroll up to see what the file name is. .phar files typically have all files in one big "file".

Cheers.

@rbh135

In any case you should start with 1.15.x/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po as that contains the majority of global strings.

Cheers.

Thanks. I went through that file and couldn't find any of the columns and dropdowns.

In fact, they seemed so lacking in terms of strings.

Is it possible that some strings just aren't on the tool yet?

    Entirely possible.
The translation feature is not 100% completion.
