Email account confirmation link not working

Hi,
new user registered received email with account confirmation link but we cannot press the link. Have to copy the link and paste into current tab or new tab. Pls refer screenshot i attached.

Also can you show us actual template that you are using?

Your template is probably lacking the link around the actual variable.

Let me explain more on my situation, the problem i am facing now is that i cannot press the link in email, the link worked but have to copy paste. Previously i can press the link straight from email but now i have to copy paste.

Yes the link is wrong. The text should be %{link} and the link value should be %{link} as well. You are using %{recipient.ticket_link}/index.php as the link value which is incorrect and will not work.

Hi, i tried change the link to %{link} but still failed. The link is working but cannot press from email. Must copy paste.
Pls refer screenshot. When i save after change the link, the link changed back to original link.

The link is how it should be so it should be working now. If not I’d suggest upgrading to 1.14.6 or 1.15.2 to see if that resolves the issue. I cannot replicate this using 1.15.2.

Hi, i updated to the latest version osTicket (v1.15.2) but the link still cannot press.

Don't know if it matters or if its formatting, but your link shows to have some extra characters around it.....%%7B 7D. Mine just shows link

Have you tried removing the link part, saving it, and adding it back in manually? Just to see if something got messed up with it?

%7B and %7D are the ASCII encoded characters for { and } respectively. This is totally fine as we have regex matching both cases (encoded and raw).

Solution is: Admin Panel > Settings > Users > Templates > Account Confirmation Email
edit link %{link}
