Cannot adding collabolator for email with dot

I am trying to add an email address with dot like email.address@domain.tld but it gives me an error.
Please advice.

All of our users have . in their usernames and we have not had any issues for our 500+ user accounts.

Is that actually a valid email address?
Maybe gmal.com does not have a MX record in its dns?
Maybe your DNS isn't working on the server?

You can go to: Admin panel -> Emails -> Settings, and disable "Verify Email Address".
This checks for a MX record for the domain that you are entering.

My Bad, I just aware that it is gmal not gmail.

The email is from incoming ticket via web form.
Unfortunately the sender as wordpress@domain.tld and also the reply to.
So I have to add the real sender as collabolator to get my reply sent to him.

Now I have deactivate that verify Email address and it worked.
I will reactivate it.

Now the next question (if its ok)... the verify email address has info which if i hover it shows nothing, what is it?
