I'm in CleanUp process of my tickets.
I need to transfer about 600 tickets to new Department.

The problem is a time duration of this process.
In my osTicket instalation I have about 13000 tickets at all.
The process of transfering tickets is taking about 6 minutes for 30 tickets.
I count the time duration by comparing 30 email notification about transfering tickets.

Any suggestion what can took so many time ?
Where is the issue ?

I’m curious as to the osT version and server specs. We have quite a few customers with hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of tickets and we haven’t received a complaint about slow transfers yet.

I will try to answer the next few days about "server specs" - I just send email to my WebServer admin.

I just make new test
The process of transfering tickets is taking about 5 minutes for 50 tickets.

As currently transfering tickets open them, I had to close them again (they were a kind of biuletin).

Interesting thing:
Closing the same tickets takes less than one minute.

My web admin said
8 CPU i 30 GB RAM - but he said also
this is shared-hosting and not dedicated server for my only purposes.
He said that this is calling overbooking/oversubscription and for this case the prize is so low.

I think my problem which I describe in this ticket may be related to the same problem.

So I have a question:
If I transfer Tickets from one department to another one, is this feature already fires checking ticket counters in all Queue and sub Queue ?

IF ANSWER = YES
IMHO: Transfering ticket should not fires accounting per each transfered ticket but after all selected / transfered ticket.
