Email fetching via IMAP

I created some filters on tickets, and when i fetch emails i can organize tickets in topics referring to a particular word in the subject of emails. And it works really fine.
Then i have the reports on the dashboard, second tab -> Ticket stats by Topics.
If i edit a ticket changing the Topic of a ticket from A to B i see "Edited topics" appear in the reports, but i can't see stats increse the Topic B or decrease the number of Topic A.
So looks like only the first time a ticket is generated by email fetching really matters.
Is this a normal or it's just me doing something wrong?

The Dashboard is not done in real time. So chances are you have to wait a day to see the changes.

    change the date on the server to tomorrow. let it trigger and run stats (staff activity a lot of it) and then set it back, but note that this will screw up any date times on tickets that get updated etc, so that isn't a good idea.
