Attachment Inline Plugin not working

I have been using this plugin for a preview of attachment, so you don't have to download

After the upgrade, Plugin is enabled, but not displaying in Google Chrome, IE, or Edge looks like it's trying to display (holding preview place) but not showing

Tried re-installing, disabling, re-enabling, still nothing

Let me know if I missed something Thanks

I'll update the README, but Firefox won't display PDF's by default anymore,

Required setting for Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/applications-panel-set-how-firefox-handles-files
Chrome has PDF display enabled by default.

for v1.16.1 it no longer works, since PHP version has been upgraded to v8.x

Is there an alternative to this plugin anyway? I opened this issue 3 weeks ago and seems there is no response. I was thinking why the move to PHP 8, since this is not a major release after all.
