Sendgrid SMTP Fails to connect

I am running OSTicket 1.9.12, php 5.31 on a centOS server running CPanel / WHM with Cloud Linux and cagefs installed.

I am attempting to use SendGrid as my smtp server and I am having difficulties getting it to work. I enter the SendGrid server details and username with password and a constantly get an error

Failed to connect to smtp.sendgrid.net

I've tried the alternative available ports but get the same errors. I've confirmed that the details are correct by sending emails using my normal email client with them.

Has anybody had any success using SendGrid to send emails with OSTicket please? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

centOS... disable SELinux and see if that fixes the problem. If it does then you will need to make a SELinux rule to allow the connection.
