Over at github the devs said 1.10 (rc3 or final) is planned for the end of January. Since there are only some days left I hope they'll make it, but even if not, I'm sure it won't be that long anymore and hopefully (very) soon the new version will be finished/stabilized and released.

Beside, the new version takes may a bit longer since they're doing so much invisible changes in the code (e.g. to support other database types like SQLite, MSSQL, etc) in addition to a lot of new features! That all takes time to code, but also to test so no major bugs will be present once the new version will be released and personally I think it's better to have a bug free system which got released later as having a buggy one which got released earlier just to keep some (stupid) deadlines or something like this.

There is no 10.  It's 1.10

^Only Microsoft would consider moving from version 1.9.x to version 10.

@[deleted] Microsoft would've released 1.10 as "stable" (despite being in a beta state) and told people that already announced fixes and features are coming "soon" ;)Don't get me wrong I'm not a microsoft hater nor a fanboy - just being realistic when I look at MS' "release politic" currently.

Everyone asking for a stable 1.10 just needs to wait ... the devs are updating and making changes and testing "development-next" they are doing pull requests and more testing.Trust my I am right there downloading a new update every few days to see what works and what breaks. It will be a few more days or weeks ... personally I want them to get it right or dont release for another 6 months if thats what it takes.

@[deleted] I'm happy to wait for the new OSTicket my concerns are there is no information since RC2 at all.  i.e. no news updates, no what's going on with osTicket since the begining of RC2 it's been rather quiet.  I'm happy to wait but would like to know it's still being worked on or maybe even some info as to why it is taking so long to get right as it was suppose to be end of January and is now May and still no word since then?  Any info is better then no info is all :)

@[deleted] If you follow the project on github you see that the developers are still working on osticket 1.10.The develop-branch is used for 1.10 (task feature) and develop-next branch for 1.10 (custom queues feature).

At least a few fixes or updates happening mostly over the weekend. Then it goes quiet and then it starts again.. they update/fix on a regular basis but you only see that on Github.
