So we loaded OSTicket on an internal server and it worked great.  It was a good test bed and we got what we wanted to see out of the product.  So, we decided to host it with GoDaddy so we didn't have to maintain a server. Now, we are setting up our main e-mail account and when we configure the POP settings we get this error.  Like I said, we had no issues on-prem.  The only difference is now we are running Apache instead of IIS.Unable to create TCP socket: Address family not supported by protocol

I have also tried the IMAP setup and I get an error stating IMAP LOGIN ERROR.  However, I know for a fact the credentials being used are correct.

I think that you would want to call GoDaddy and give them that error and see what they say. My guess is that you have run afoul of one of their mod_sec rules.

I had the same gut feeling (that it was a GoDaddy issue), but can you clarify on the mod_sec?

mod_security its an Apache mod that allows the host to specify security rules. The other possibility is that you might need to tell exchange to allow connections from the new host?

Was there any progress made on this issue? I'm having the same issue with my install, except I'm trying to access Google Apps with it. I also have GoDaddy hosting it. Would like to know if they are the problem, and what was done on their part to fix it. Thanks.

It was in fact a GoDaddy issue.  I moved my hosting for OSTicket to SiteGround.comHighly recommend their hosting of OSTicket.  They support it and know it well.

GoDaddy "can't" update the mod_security
