I am finding out that the email system is not functioning correct. I went to user, confirmed user settings input to fields, authentication is required and am getting an error "Failed to connect to secure.emailsrvr.com 465 (SMTP invalid response code received from server (code -1, response ))The company I work for is using a rackspace email server, settings have been confirmed as correct with all other company devices.Any suggestions???

Is there more to that error?Are you running CentOS (or more specifically SELinux?)  How about a firewall?What version of osTicket?Please help us to help you by reading and following the posting

The error is all I get, see attached image. This installation is running on my local machine for testing and configuration before deploying to network webserver. Running on Windows 7 pro 64b installhosted IMAP email on rackspaceosTicket version v1.9.8.1PHP 5.5.12Apache 2.4.9have not checked firewall yet

I would check firewalls on both the local machine and the server.

12 days later

So the craziest thing occurred. Moved the ticketing system to new web dev server, reinstalled osticket same version) and everything now works. Not sure if it was caused by running just from my local machine, but I did have wamp installed for web server. Either way, ticket can be closed. Thanks for all the feedback.
