Hi, there's no screenshot attached in your post = /

1. no attachment.2. your using HTML right?  It's probably not rendered and is hidden by your email client.

Hmm, screenshot was added as an attachment.. I try again.Hmm, seems not to work in Safari.. It uploads, and show in the browser, as attached, but after posting, it's gone.. ?!?Edit: after edit it then shows.. ! Strange..

Mail.app missing top line.png

Hi All,For some reason, Apple Mail does no longer allow me to show the Plain Text version, but when I view the plain text version in webmail, it shows the missing line.So the question is: Why does the line not render in the HTML version?It's then also missing in the reply, making the system store the complete reply in the case.. :-/

Ok, decoded the HTML base64, and found this:<div style="display"                    data-mid="$DwAAAA==$d0967e5049@01a0e4d034"> -- reply above this line -- <br/><br/></div>No wonder it dosen't show.. Why is there a display of body context that the user should SEE?!?!?!

IMO it doesn't really matter if the client sees it, so long as osT does.  You can actually make that line whatever you want it to be.  But you raise a valid point, and I see that I was correct that it's hidden in .HTML

So, how to solve this? I'm having exactly the same issue. (Mail OSX, Icloud webmail, gmail)

If the user can't see the text, how do they know they should write Above the line?? Not all email clients are set to add the reply above the quoted text.. (!) and if not, the reply might end up mixed into the reply text.. @[deleted]: It seems the design is not in the web-template, so you would need to 'hack' the files in the system.. don't currently have access to that (but could download it) to see what files neeed to be changed..

In my testing, it seems that the hidden -- reply above this line -- content is returned, at least by Apple Mail.Only problem is. The user can't see it, and might respond in-line in the agents reply!And, if the user does so, everything is lost!If there is no content above -- reply above this line -- , the responce is not even registred in the case!!

a year later

I had the same problem, I went to include/class.mailer.php and removed "display: none" from $message = "<div class=\"mid-$mid_token\">$reply_tag</div>$message";

Wow... nearly 5 years later and this hasn't been fixed? That's... not great.
