Hello,I am running 1.9.2 and whenever I attach files to a ticket and open the ticket, where can I view these attachments? When I am looking at the ticket these attachments are no where to be found. Any ideas?Thank you,Dave
As I said here: http://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//if-a-ticket-has-attachments-add-them-to-the-new-ticket-alert-email#latestThey are linked at the bottom of the thread that they were attached to originally. How are you attaching the files?as a client? (guest or user; email or ui?)as a staff?HAve you searched the forums or github but reports? IS it this?https://github.com/osTicket/osTicket-1.8/issues/727
Thank you very much for your response. The way I am adding attachments is by clicking New Ticket as a staff member. Then towards the bottom of the page there is an option to add attachments to the ticket. When I add attachments all is fine and dandy as the attachment appears and there is a checkbox that is checked next to it. The problem occurs whenever I create the ticket then go back in to view it by clicking on the ticket from the ticket overview screen in the staff panel. All the information is present except the ability to view the attachments that were put onto the ticket when it was created. Its like those attachments were disregarded. I did look in the database in the attachment table and it looks like they are getting stored but whenever I go to view the ticket it does not show them anywhere. Does this make sense? I actually looked at numerous other forum posts and on github but nothing seems to quite match up with what I am experiencing nor is there a fix or recommendation for it.Again I greatly appreciate the time you take to help users like me with problems like this.Thank you,Dave
Maybe the github link is what I am experiencing I'm not quite sure. Does that sound like the case to you?
Sounds like it to me. You might want to post to the github thread saying that you are having that problem.
I went ahead and left a comment on that github thread. Much appreciated ntozier!
