When name field in ost_user is set to an email address, the name doesn't display in the osticket user directory, and therefore that user can't be edited.

1. this is not entirely true. a. in a ticket they opened you can click on the little person icon followed by the (x) to edit the user.b. you can inspect the element and get the "users.php?id=#" and can type or copy it into the end of the URL in the address line of your browser to edit the user.2. its the name field... not the email field. Perhaps you should use the field as intended instead of pushing your agenda on it. I don't think that it really counts as a bug when your doing something that clearly wasn't intended.3. if you also populate the email field, the email will get displayed in their tickets, and as a result you will also be able to click on that to edit the user.
I have just installed the new 1.9.2 and I am having two major issues.1) The staff is creating new tickets tickets are not being created properly, most of the time even with the confirmation page page that says tickets has been created, a confirmation emails is sent with a ticket number but the ticket does not exist..2) Sometimes when tickets are market as closed tickets are gone completed from the system. Any assistance will be very much appreciated. Thanks,
1) The staff is creating new tickets tickets are not being created
properly, most of the time even with the confirmation page page that
says tickets has been created, a confirmation emails is sent with a
ticket number but the ticket does not exist..Emails are not sent until after the ticket is created, so this is not possible. It is far more likely that you do not have access to view the department that the ticket was assigned to.2) Sometimes when tickets are market as closed tickets are gone completed from the system. When tickets are closed if the person who closed it is not in the department that the ticket is in, the lose access to it. (see answer to 1)Also please do not high jack other peoples threads. Start your own.
