new install 1.9.1 no settings tab for smtp and imap?

noob here. just installed 1.9.1 on xampp per the instructions on http://everyday-tech.com/osticket-install-for-windows-guide/but I find there is no email settings tab where I can configure imap and smtp. Mail diagnostic says it is successful, but no emails are recieved. This install is a test install on windows 8 64 bit and the firewall is disabled. I am looking for the tab with email settings for"status: enable disableHostportprotocolencryptionfetch frequency,etc. Thanks for your time.

That article was written for 1.7. The current version of osTicket is 1.9.Browse to: Admin panel -> Emails.Click "Add new email"I also note that article doesn't appear to cover setting up a windows task scheduler so that osTicket will actually check the email. I found the settings thanks to this article http://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//where-do-i-setup-smtp-details-for-osticket-to-use-to-send-alerts didnt realize they were per email address. Thanks for the links ntozier. Fetching was my next obstacle.
