Hi,

I've installed osticket v1.8.1-rc1 and enable plug-in LDAP Authentication and LookUp. Installation was completed successfully. When I tried the lookup, it can fetch users from the LDAP server however clicking any users won't do anything. It doesn't fill the Email Address and Full Name. Please Help how to resolve this problem.Attached are screenshot for your reference.

I could be wrong but my understanding of and experience with 1.8.1rc1 and the ldap/ad auth plugin is that it does authentication only, not look up. I do not see any screen shots so I have no idea what your actually clicking on etc. Also I feel the need to point out that 1.8.1rc1 is a Release Candidate and is akin to running Beta software. It is not intended for production servers.

That is also my expectation to authenticate user and lookup as well as indicated in Plugin Name.I just don't know what is wrong with my settings to make it as SSO (single sign on).blankblank

User look up is the user look up screen when opening a ticket.  Which has nothing to do with staff authenticating against LDAP. The LDAP authentication plugin allows STAFF to log in using either their osT or LDAP/AD credentials. It has nothing to do with users.

I understand your point about the authentication but I think it has to do with LDAP because osticket is pulling out data from AD. If a staff created ticket for user and lookup to AD it uses the user lookup to select users but selecting users once it is pull out from AD, that's the problem come, clicking the selected users won't do anything.

I believe that you are mistaken about what the plugin does.  However you can always report your finding at github under core-plugins.https://github.com/osTicket/core-plugins

I just spoke to Jared (dev) and he says that your right that it should look up users but only if you have specified a lookup user/pass.  LDAP (specifically AD) Look ups do not work for me on my 1.8.1rc1 test installation.
