Hi guys,

I have a gmail email address and i'm running osticket on a cpanel hosting. I followed the instructions to the letter to complete the setup. What's next?

I set the connection to be imap as i want osticket to be able to download the different folders and mails that were configured to go straight to those folders. I even set up local cron to run every 5 minutes. But no tickets were created at all. Did i do something wrong?

From the email diagnostics, i could email myself successfully. What could be the problem? Please advice.

Thank you.

Try getting rid of the folders, and see if it works.

8 days later

What i've done is resetup my VZCP container again. Turns out easy apache's PHP setting messed everything up. After re-setting up my container, i carefully only turned on only select few PHP extensions which were truly essential and that i knew which was needed like PDO, mbstring and that fixed it. I guess, my earlier problem till now was environment related. Easyapache and php config should not be messed with if you don't know what the hell the you are doing. Especially on a live server, don't mess it. If it ain't broken don't fix it, i learnt that the hard way. And ofcourse, if get a VPS if you are just tryin to experiment with environment settings.

Thanks guys.
