Hi folks, i don't know what happened but since we installed the script we started to receive email failures notifications about 400 per day. And many of them were to different .ru emails.

I deleted all files and solved the problem. I downloaded the package from first post...

Those packages are hosted on one of the mass storage cloud servers.

Maybe at them something is infected or changing/adding something?

I am sure that the original author has nothing to do with that!

I can assure you that i had nothing to do with the emails being generated... i'd never do that to anyone!

If you wish I can send you a copy of the zip file via email instead of you downloading it from the hosting site.

I have just checked and in total there have been 79 downloads of the zip file accross the two sites... has anyone else had the same issue as mabril?

No problems here, also thanks for the upgade, osTicket seems long abandoned with a huge lack of updates and I hope someone continues the project.

Any urge to put this on BitBucket/Github and continue osTicket?

Only thing I'm missing now is time tracking which would be easy for me to put in.

Spent time for each ticket is already added.

The 'new' version will be published - currently not sure exactly where, but it will be.

And I would be happy the more people are willing to help me / the new version, the better it will.

All you ahve to do here is update the DB via phpmyadmin or something similar...

ost_config / ostversion - change from 1.6 to 1.7 RC

No offence to the creators, its a good little project but I've been tucking into osTicket these last 3 days and managed to just about get it working for my environment, however any update/fix will completely destroy it. I think if osTicket is to grow it needs to be remade, going through the code its not very modular or extensible, theres massive if/else statements and SQL statements embedded into pages. Releasing multiple "RC" versions won't help it either, I think someone needs to create a dedicated git fork and accept some collabs, I wouldn't mind committing a few fixes/rewrites used in my own project.

Yes.

1. going more into MVC - but not for the first release

2. added several new tables and fields to existing tables (because of the new functions)

And - it will be no release of the existing, instead a complete 'new' fork (based partly on 1.6_ST)

i had the same issue. so ended up deleting the hwole thing then doing a fresh install instead of a upgrade. works now

Install and translation to spanish

Hi Friends!

I was try to update from 1.6 RC4, and have a lot of troubles... but the best way are install a clean 1.7 version and import the data... it's works very fine...

I'm translating to spanish, client's interface are complete, and working on staff's inteface and admin's interface...

I believe that in a month, this work it's done...

Excuse me for my english, but i learned myself to speak and write, it's very hard...

The most important benefit of this version will be the multilinguale interface for everything PLUS several new options.

So, if you - and others - are interested in making the translation (all variables are in seperate files) you are heardly welcome.

The package with those files will be available soon for extra download.

To get informed best would be to write me a short message.

Unable to add department. Internal error

I get "Unable to add department. Internal error" when trying out this Unofficial 1.7 build. Any idea what is going on?
