Due to recent change in email server, I need to adjust the email settings.

Originally we were using IMAP and switched to POP3. After submitting the change the error, "Can not authenticate to POP3 server: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." is displayed.

The email account has been verified and is working. SSL is selected and Port 995 is set. Directly beneath the Username and Password fields is shows "Invalid login. Check POP settings." Any idea what could be wrong here? Do we need to use only IMAP?

Whats your email server?

Are you sure that it is configured to accept SSL POP connections?

Have you tried re-entering the password?

We're using Microsoft Exchange Online (BPOS) therefore the email server address is pop.mail.microsoftonline.com and it is configured for port 995 with SSL enabled.

Looks like the issue had to do with enabling pop support for the specific email account :)
