Can not upload the image while adding FAQ

Friends,

I can not upload any images using file uploader for inline images in Faq page. When i select images and click the uploading button it not shows any error, as usually submit the page like successful submission, but images are not uploaded in faq/images folder. What is the error....

Addition info: Image uploading is working fine when submit the ticketing

Hi Tim,

First of all thanks for this great MOD. Everything works great but I got 1 problem.

When I make new FAQ's and put them into category's then I can't open the category and see all the FAQ's in it. I only can see all the FAQ's when I press the button "Show All". Could you please give me a solutions.

(I got the lastest version installed of the MOD. Dont know if I need the patch but it seems that that .zip file is damaged.)

I can not upload any gif, png,jpg images when am creating/update the Faq. I checked faq/images folder and there is no images in that folder. But i can successfully upload pdf or xls file. Can you tel me where is the problem..... Or is am do any config changes need to do upload image files ?

this doesnt seem to work for me. Client and main page stuff went on ok but the staff bit didnt.

When I click on the faq tab it opens up a new window with some random characters in it. any ideas? \

Extra info - i'm using godaddys free hosting at the moment to test things out. This adds a stupid advertising header to the page. could this be it?

If I try and use the faq_submit.php from the client area this also gives me the same problem.

Hi I've the same problem. I tried a few things but i can't upload an image.

The problem is not on the 2 forms which are on the same page ?

There is a javascript to only submit the image upload form but nothing happens.

This is a great feature and a worthy effort. You have accomplished a huge amount of detail added to osticket capabilities.

osTicket has its major disadvantage and that is the translation side. One of your stronger point is that you have enabled a multi language process for your add-on.

Now to the question;

I was able to translate the whole process to another language easily, but was not able to change the "Q - A" marks on the left hand side of the questions and answers. Maybe the picture below will be an easier identifier. How do I change those two letters and where?

Sorry for the delay.

Ill put the "Q" and "A" in the translation files for the stable release.

In the meantime, for the public area, you can find them in the following lines:

RE: PS: Ill have a look into the inline image system before the stable release. Ive been experimenting with some jQuery uploaders to try and improve the uploads area so had work planned anyway.

PS: I would be happy to drop your translations into the stable release (v1.0.0 ST) of osFaq if you like. Let me know where to get a copy if your interested.

Im planning to release the stable version over the next few months. Before the new year would be nice but Ill have to see how I go for time.

Hi,

The system already counts the faq and category views. You can pull the info back from the DB tables "xxx_faqcategories" and "xxx_faqs" (where xxx_ is your osticket table prefix. usually ost_). The field name in both tables is "client_views".

Ill look into adding this as an option in the stable release (due before Feb. 2011).

Image uploader problems

Hi,

Ive noticed a number of people having trouble with the image uploader. If I get time this weekend (23-24 Oct) Ill see if I can put togeather a patch to fix this.

In the longer term the image uploader will be replaced for the stable release. I had planned to do this anyway. At the moment Im planning on using a jQuery system.

Just Installed this mod using their "automated" installer. Went off without a hitch. I wish more mods used that kind of installation. So far I'm pleased with this mod.

(despite the instructions, you can make the "faq" part show up underneathe the "open ticket" section.)

But once you get it all installed, and figure out how the editing and adding of topics and categories works. It's a very nice add-on.

So far everythings going smoothly. If I stay on target, I should have it ready for release this month. osFaq v1.0 ST also comes with full translation packs in english and german. More may be added later as they become available.
