I believe there was a device / inventory management system on a previous release of OSTicket.

Will this be re-introduced?
Currently running v1.17.3 and about to upgrade.
We're about to start expanding our help-desk, and device management will be more important than ever before.

    I don't recall there ever being one that was written by the OS Ticket people. I think I have seen some mentions of 3rd party plugins on the forums over the past couple years. You might run a search and see if you can find something. I know they are working on version 2.0 of the software ( no idea of timeframe) so they might introduce something officially at some point, but only they can attest to that.

    osTicket has never had a device inventory system.
    There is / was some mods introduced by a community member that gave that sort of functionality, but it was never accepted into the code base.

    You could use a custom form and a custom queue assigned to and “inventory” help topic to accomplish that functionality.

    We are implementing that for change management, so we can link the "Inventory Item" ticket, to the change request ticket.

        You simply go to Admin Panel > Manage > Help Topics, click a Help Topic, click the Forms tab, click the Add Custom Form dropdown, select the Custom Form, and click Save Changes. Now when a User/Agent selects the Help Topic the Custom Form will be populated under the Ticket Details Form.
