I have seen that solution in a previous discussion but it does not solve my problem.

    Facing same error on the following the Authentication to NONE, Status to Disabled, Save Changes, Status to Enabled, Authentication to Basic, configure auth, Save Changes.

    Refresh the email settings page, then follow steps
    Authentication to NONE,
    Status to Disabled,
    Save Changes,
    Status to Enabled,
    Authentication to Basic,
    configure auth,
    Save Changes.

    Configure Hostname + Port, set Status to Disabled, set Authentication to None, click Save Changes, set Status to Enabled, set Authentication to Basic, click Config, add auth details, click Update, then click Save Changes.
