Hi,

I am facing an issue, I have different department who has different help topics so the list has become too large so can anyone suggest any idea that how can I make a form with department wise help topics or if I give direct link of help topic then other help topic should remain hidden.

Osticket version : 1.16.5
PHP 8

Did you mean you want to filter Help Topics based on the selected Department?
If so, then you might need mods Help Topics per Department that I created.

Please note that the above is a mod. A mod is code that changes the core code in the product. The devs to not generally recommend running third party mods or plugins, and if you have any problems that you need support for you will want to remove the mod and see if the problem still exists.

On a personal note: @masino_sinaga has been a long time forum member, and I personally would trust their code to use in my site(s).

ntozier Just because they've been around long doesn't mean their code can be trusted fully. šŸ˜‰ It definitely eases your mind a little but you should always review the code and question everything. [insert x-files music]

No worries, I always support the mods I created, and the code can be fully trusted. I created the mods because my client needs it and it has been working for years without any issue.

You can say that your code ā€œcan be trustedā€ all you want but itā€™s still not official code so everyone has to take what you say with a grain of salt. Iā€™m not trying to diminish your work or anything at all but what Iā€™m saying is with any software, any 3rd party code cannot be trusted unless fully verified by the core developers. Just like apple, etc. your app is not trusted unless it goes through their strenuous testing and verification measures. We donā€™t have such capabilities at the moment so any 3rd party code is seen as not trusted.

      Cheers.

Since you mentioned that you don't have such capabilities at the moment, then that's why I try to convince those who use my mods that I am still supporting the mods I created. The mods have been verified the functionalities by one of my client that already been using this for many years.
