Long time OSTicket user, recently started using Shopify and tested a bunch of helpdesk/customer support apps that have Shopify integration but in short, they are either terrible or overpriced for a small company.
Was wondering if there are any plans for any kind of Shopify integration or 3rd party plugins for this? If not, how difficult (and expensive) it might be to ask a developer to build something that could achieve this?
Ideally, it just needs to display customer information inside OSTicket pulled from Shopify, e.g name, address, orders, etc, this would save a lot of time as we currently need to look that up separately.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I am not aware of any Shopify integration or plugins currently.

Do you know if Shopify has an API that can be used to pull the information that you want? Or do you have access to the shopify database directly? If yes to either of these I think that its possible, and likely wouldn't be terrible hard.

Alternatively, you could add a custom field to the users in osTicket and link their account in the other system to speed up lookups... if the other system would let you do something like that.

There is a list of plugins and information I maintain here:

ntozier thank, I did spend a fair amount of time searching but without any luck, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.

Shopify definitely has an API but its beyond by understanding - https://shopify.dev/api

I presume I can try to find a developer for this, any suggestion on what specific programming skills they must have?

    Thanks

Efficient integration between OSTicket and Shopify can be a game-changer. While I don't have insider info on official plans, I'd recommend looking into custom development. It might require an investment, but having a skilled developer create a plugin tailored to your needs could pay off in terms of time saved and smoother operations.
I also wanted to mention transformagency.com; they often have insightful solutions for e-commerce and integration challenges. It's worth checking them out for more guidance and ideas.

I did look into it but couldn't find a suitable developer in terms of ability or cost, still hoping someone will take on the challenge, seems like a huge opportunity for OS Ticket considering the user base of Shopify

v2.0 (currently in development) will have a really robust API that will enable such integrations. I’m positive this won’t be included in the initial release but the API will enable the possibility and either we or a community member could write such an integration.

          Cheers.

That is positive news, is there any ETA on when V2 is going to be released?
