I have no idea how to start this journey, so I am humbly asking for your advice.

We want the responses sent in Osticket to be saved in the outbox/sent items folder of our IMAP server. What should I research?

When I go and look at the Sent Items in my IMAP box for my primary production site, I see all the emails that were sent out. You shouldn't have to do anything if you are using something like M365 for emails.

If you are using something else then you would likely need to speak to your hosting provider to see if there is something that they can do to assist you on this as it's my opinion that this is IMAP default behavior.
