Upgrading to the latest version

I never dealt with osTicket before. Now appeared an "upgrade" button in the Information tab.
How to upgrade osTicket? From the button, I tried to download the latest version and paste the new files overwriting the old ones but nothing changed and the upgrade button still appear.

Moreover, even tho the "setup" directory has been deleted osTicket still asks for it on top. How to fix it?

Go to osticket.com/download and download the latest version.

ntozier yes, I have read the docs, I uploaded the new files from the upload folder but when I logged into the Admin Panel nothing happened and in the Information page still appears the upgrade button.

You are using a git version and not a packaged version. Please use the downloads from our website:

https://osticket.com/download

I made it again but nothing changed.

Then it appears you aren’t overwriting the files correctly or you are uploading the files in the wrong place.

That’s not a full error so I can’t say what’s causing it.

KevinTheJedi you was right, the error was related to the DBMS and not to osTicket.

Anyway, I fixed that issue but still I’m unable to upgrade osTicket, even tho I uploaded the files as described in the docs, as I described in my first post.

I think you are mixing two versions of osTickets one from git and one from osTicket.com packed version.

The official one will show like this:

ramrajone how I can run the latest packed version? Do I have to install osTicket from the scratch?

I believe you will have to do full backup of current osTickets and setup new from osTickets.com then import database

I am not 100% sure if there are any database conflicts, since your database is older and from git
