Hi,

Just wondering if the default system emails, alert, & admin email can be configured using the same mailbox, but with different Aliases ... Also, is it okay to fetch emails via IMAP +SSL Could there be any issues arising its configured using Aliases along with IMAP ?

If I understand what you are asking then...
Yes, you can setup those as aliases. [I haven't bothered because I don't want people actually replying to them]
Just make sure that you are not checking email trying to use the aliases as usernames.

The reason I'm asking this is cause, I see an ERROR in the System Logs... Please view the attached files, for osTicket System Info, as well as the Error message itself ..

ERROR MESSAGE

Sounds like its telling you that if you send an email it would result in a endless email loop.

    ntozier - Yes, I got that part... My question is What would make it throw-up this error message ?

    Sending & Receiving email ids are different .. So, what would cause the above error ?

    @FunkFuMaster

    The cause would be the email being fetched from receiving an email from the helpdesk. This could mean for example an alert is being sent from the system and winding up in the email that's being fetched which would obviously cause a loop as the alert would be fetched, create a ticket, send out an alert, that alert would wind up in the inbox and start the loop all over again.

    We don't have access to your inbox or system so you'll have to do some investigating to figure this out.

    Cheers.

    Thanks for replying .. I'll check with the email service provider, as how the Email accounts have been provisioned for.
