[resolved] PHP-IMAP on v1.15.2 on CentOS8

I was able to complete the install and resolve all dependencies on the install page using the remi repository, save one, php-imap.
Is there something im missing here?
No matter what i do a get an error similar to the following:
Last metadata expiration check: 1:27:20 ago on Tue 15 Jun 2021 04:38:54 PM EDT.
Error:
Problem: package php-imap-7.2.24-2.el8.x86_64 requires php-common(x86-64) = 7.2

cannot install the best candidate for the job
package php-common-7.2.24-2.el8.x86_64 is filtered out by modular filtering
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use

i tried the provided options, it still failed.

If i try to install the common it just give me a similar issue in an endless loop.

I know this was an issue in the past but i cannot find anything current that applies to CentOS8.

Any help appreciated as i cannot seem to move forward with this installation.

Sounds like a question for CentOS support folks.

Also if you google remi repository php-imap7 there seems to be 37500 hits.

Yes, i have read that, but this issue is different in that this is CentOS8.
I have however installed that repository and it is where i resolved the other missing dependencies, however, imap will not work.
You are correct it is more of a php or centos8 issue, i was just hopeful someone here might have run across the same problem as ive been fighting this for 2 days now without success.
If i cannot resolve this then obviously i cannot use osticket.

Have you considered not using CentOS8? I ask because its EOL in Dec 2021.
CentOS7 on the other hand is supported until 2024.
Or a completely different distribution (like Debian).

ntozier Honestly i was not aware of that, it seems rather, odd... per my check 8 is good till 2029?
Perhaps ill try a parallel build using 7 for comparison.
My first build was 7 and had no issues i only saw this after trying to migrate to 8.

ntozier Well i must say that wasnt made very well known. Im unsure how i could have missed that to date.
Perhaps rolling back to 7 is a better alternative then given this news.

I'm running on CentOS 8 and my PHP version is 7.4.16. I installed it from the Remi repository.

In the end, this was resolved by updating the version of PHP from 7.2 to 7.4.x latest. This was from the remi repo. To do this i had to remove the previous and install that one.
It didnt give me an indication of this in any way that made sense to me, although ill admit this isnt my area of expertise so perhaps i didnt quite get what it was telling me.
Once this was completed i was able to install the module and am moving forward with CentOS8.
I hope this helps anyone else that finds themsevles in a similar spot.
