Hello,
I am using osTicket v1.8.x and I know that it's older version but due to large no. of created tickets database; I have not updated to latest version.
The problem is regarding, sending a confirmation email with random ticket no. to the person's email inbox who created the new ticket.
Recently users can't get any confirmation emails as ticket form is successfully created.
Please help me to fix this issue. I am appreciating for the help to fix it.

Regards,

1.8 is end of life, and support for it ended 4 years ago. you really need to upgrade.

With the UI changes over the years I do not recall where you would want to go to check settings.

Things to check:
Department settings to see if new autoresponse are disabled.
Email settings to see if the autoresponse is enabled.
the Email address to see its settings to re-enter the password to see if that helps.
If it isn't one of those things, then I do not think that anyone here will be able to help you.

    Hello ntozier,
My previous hosting account was on shared hosting plan where I have installed osTicket and everything is well working but due to some restrictions I have changed my hosting plan to VPS on another hosting provider.
I have migrated my shared hosting cPanel backup on new VPS and after that this issue comes-up. Here everything works well like my website, ticket creation, login etc.
I have checked all things as Department settings, Email settings etc. and all seems to be correct.
As per my view migration of cPanel backup from one sever to another server can cause this issue; may be this point helps to figure out the actual fault and the way to fix it.
I am really appreciating for the help and advice to upgrade and I can upgrade it as soon.
    Regards,
