Is it possible to get a live error when a reply email fails to send?

It's rare, but maybe one out of every 30 or 40 replies results in an email error. Today for example it failed to setup the SMTP and then the PHP mail function failed to send. But it only happened once, and I've been doing dozens of support tickets and replies all day. I didn't see any error message or pop-up that indicated the error happened so I didn't find out it failed until 2 hours later when I talked to the recipient in person and then checked the logs.

If I had known it had failed I would have attempted a re-send sooner.

Is this a feature that I can turn on or is there a plugin that can handle this? Anything?

You might (I haven't tried this) be able to go to Admin panel -> Settings -> System and set your Default Log level.
Then you might be able to see the fails in your osTicket system log. I wouldn't be live error per se as there is no pop up saying this error occurred and you would have to go to the system log to see it.

ntozier Thank you, but that's my problem. ;D I don't want to check the system logs after every email. If I check once a day I might miss the fact that some time-sensitive replies failed.

I'm guessing there isn't any pre-made solution for this. Which is fine, just wanted to check.

Thank you again for your reply.
