Count Not Updating at time when i change any status

Hello,
I have open new ticket then i open my admin side and check this ticket open here now i change the status closed at that time count is not changed but when i logout and re login count is changed.

So, Why this count is not change at that time when i am change status? Is there any session issue ?

ankitlakhara The ticket counts in the menu dropdowns aren't updated in realtime. I believe the update happens at every cron run (whether via manual or autocron), but could be mistaken here.
Generally if you wait a short while, the counts should update.

ankitlakhara Assuming I'm actually correct in that it's the cron job that updates the ticket counts, then you could just set your cron job to run more frequently.
Bear in mind I may not be correct - might want to either test it with a different cron time or wait until somebody else either confirms or corrects my statement.

ankitlakhara That depends on your system - are you using WIndows or Linux? (if Windows, it's an entry in Task Scheduler and in Linux you'd set a cron job runing under the web user). Ideally you'd want to edit an existing one if present, not have two running at the same time.

@RBGE But i am using this osticket setup in my localhost wamp server. So, cron job changes may be not required. Right ?
Is there any code changes required ? To change 5 minute to 1 second.

ankitlakhara You'd still need a scheduled task to run the cron.php file. I'd advise against every second as you're just going to kill your system... maybe start with 1 minute and see how things go from there 😇
In Windows, you want the scheduled task to run "c:\[path to php executable]\php.exe c:\[path to osticket installation]\api\cron.php"

Just to add, my initial assumption that the counts update on running of the cron job is obviously wrong. I've been keeping an eye on when the ticket counts update on my system, and it's pretty quickly - certainly not every 2 minutes, when the cron job runs.
Sorry @ankitlakhara , I don't know what triggers the update of ticket counts and if it can be changed 🙁

I believe that they update on staff activity, about once every ten times someone does something.
