Is it possible to change the status of a ticket to "closed" from the user panel?
I know there have been feature requests and bugs, and it was supposed to be implemented soon?

No. Only Agents can close a ticket.

I'm not aware of any plans to change this behavior. But then I don't know all the items on the roadmap either.

We've asked the support for it, and they mentioned it would be added. Yet I still haven't seen anything, since either.
