[resolved] Asking for Assistance for email fetching

So I am trying to get emails submitted to specific users polled into the system and tickets created based on that. I created an account "TestSupport@domain.com" and I can see the user receiving the email, but OSTicket never pulls the email in to create the ticket. Some things that I have seen on here say that I need to create a Cron job, but I am not sure how to do that. The email authentication connects successfully with no issues. Does the built in system to fetch emails not function without a cron job setup?

No you have to setup a recurring task to run: cron.php

ntozier I want to make sure I understand. So the Cron.php has already been configured through my selections in the GUI pages, and I just need to setup a recurring task to run the cron.php. Is that correct?

Not exactly. Cron.php doesn't get configured.

Email gets configured (which you have done).
Now you need to schedule polling.

OK. I have added it to the crontab. I guess I'll see in 5 minutes if it pulls the email in.

Ok, it actually worked, but now its throwing PHP errors.

Looks like you are running the attachments on filesystem plugin and the user the process is running as does not have access to your attachments folder.

SELinux running?
Permissions wong?

Got this working. I changed the user from nobody to Apache since apache has the rights to the attachments folder. I would say this is fixed and working. I have another issue/question, but since it is different I will start a new thread. Thank you for your assistance in getting this working.
