I'm not sure why this issue seems to keep reocurring when a new version comes out, but it's happening again in 1.14. If you create a custom field with a checkbox, you can can't uncheck the checkbox. If you try to update the field with the checkbox unchecked, you are prompted with the error Fieldname is already assigned this value.
I previously reported it in version 1.11 and an official fix was released, but that fix no longer works in 1.14.
