Wildcard Search Agent Panel does not work

I refer also to former post https://forum.osticket.com/d/92590-search-wildcard which has been closed.
OS Version 10.4.
Mysql 5.6.43
PHP 7.2.19

If I go to Agent panel and fill in a word in search field I am only able to search for whole word. E.g. if i fill in "Reservations" I find Tickets with the word but not if I search for "Reservation" (missing s at end). Is there a way to search with a wildcard or any other way I did not find out yet?

This is by design. We use MySQL fulltext search matching by full words. You are more than welcome to modify the code to change this behavior.

Thanks for the quick reply ... well I am not really well with changing codes but maybe following quick change helps some people. If you change class.search.php from
$mode = ' IN NATURAL LANGUAGE MODE';
to
$mode = ' IN BOOLEAN MODE';
at least you are able to search for words with correct beginning - as per my example i find with "reservat" every thread which has a word with this beginning , e.g. reservation / reservations ...
Of course this is not upgrade safe ... i might have a search to find a way to search for "mysql like" - if anybody has a tipp or already done would appreciate
