Hi i want to install OSTicket on an external server, as a subwebsite. Now i allready uploaded the installation file on the FTP server.

But i really don’t know how to go further.

Please help me because i’m new to these kind of things.

Does your external server have MySQL on it?

If No:
You need a database server.

If Yes:
create the database.
create a user.
Give it privileges to the database.

Browser to the subsite that you created (and uploaded the files to) with your preferred web browser.
It will detect that the files are installed but the product is not configured and run the setup script where you will need to enter the database name/location, database user you created and the password, etc.
