Hi there!

We recently updated to OsTicket 1.12.

It's all gone well and a couple of bugs we noticed have been resolved, which is all good.

Unfortunately, it appears to have broken CSV exporting of tickets in our setup?

The header column appears just fine, but there will be no data for that row. I have tried searching for specific tickets then exporting that in case some strange formatting/character was causing problems but no data is output.

I have attached an example of what I mean:

Our admin team run a trimmed-down export that gives a few brief details of each ticket, which also has the same issue:

However, I have a custom filter on my account for Closed Tickets that have been left on the default Help Topic "New Ticket" and when I run an export from here... all the data shows up OK.

Does anyone have any idea what might cause this, or where I should start looking to fix this?

I have looked, and no error_log lines are being generated when the failed export is produced, neither does anything appear in the admin panel -> system logs, so I'm a bit stuck!

Environment details?

I just tried this on my default Open queue and custom (IT Tickets) queue and it exports fine.

Apologies - I didn't see that post ?

Above is a screenshot of my OSTicket information page.

This is running on a CentOS 6.10 operating system.

Just to update this - I have tested our osTicket installation on PHP Version 7.0 and 7.1, both of which have the same result.

I am unable to locate any errors logged as a result of this export action.

Is there any options for more verbose logging or anything I can try to help troubleshoot this?

Not that I know of. I will ask the devs to take a look at this thread and see if they have any suggestions.

As a side note I am running PHP 7.3 now can you install 7.2 or 7.3 and try to rule out PHP issue?

Hi @ntozier

Installed PHP Versions 7.2 and 7.3 on our server and tested our OSTicket installation on both of these.

Both 7.2 and 7.3 work and do not have this issue.

Cheers for your help!

Just to add on to this...

It seemed to work on an export of mine that didn't work previously - but then didn't work again on a colleagues custom queue.

Realised that there was duplicated field names on the Export window. Changed to the duplicate one that was not in use and the field was exported correctly. After switching to these fields, and reloading the page, the original ones have disappeared?

Below shows what I mean, previously, there were two options for 'From', 'Subject' and any other 'non-working' export column.

Hey-ho, it's weird, but it's resolved, so I'll post it in case anyone else runs into this ?

Thanks for letting us know. ?

I'll mark this thread as resolved and close it. Please feel free to start a new thread if you have another question, concern, query, wonder, etc.

ntozier changed the title to [resolved] CSV Export - Blank rows on certain columns.
