Is there a way to pause open tickets that are on hold?

I would like to do this for tickets where they are not actively being worked on, for example, pending and update from the customer. This would allow for more accurate stats on the dashboard.

I have added a custom ticket status called "On Hold":

I can't see any way of specifying what that status does however, with regards to time. Would changing the state to "closed" work, while still keeping the ticket "open" in a way?

This is not a feature in osTicket at this time.
