HI I just installed this and started to configure it. I am not sure what version I have. ( I have only had this for a couple days.) Everything is working just fine. Except I have an issue where I have enabled the autoresponder to send an email on ticket generation to the customer. It doesn't work However every other autoresponder alert does work. I am at a loss as to how to troubleshoot this. Any information would be extremely helpful.

More info

Ok.... So I investigated this a little bit. I think emails are working. I tested the only problem I encountered while testing was that it wouldn't send to me personally. I think this might be due to the email being the same as the default system email.

So now that I thought I got this happily setup I went to setup my external mail account to fetch mail via pop.

However when I do this I get an error in the configuration page that says....

Mail Account: Optional setting for fetching incoming emails. Mail fetching must be enabled with autocron active or external cron setup.

Status=Enable Then it says. IMAP doesn't exist. PHP must be compiled with IMAP enabled.

I think I did get this error when I did the install however I don't see it in my system logs. So im not really sure what I need to do. I keep readin "auto cron needs to be setup" I cant find any info on where to get it or how to set it up though. Apologies for my ignorance. Im a total beginner here.

New ticket attatchments not mail out

I have installed version 1.7 two weeks back and found the following issue.

1. create a new ticket and add a attachment PDF file. The ticket creates with no errors. The client email dose not have the attachment on it.

2. open the new ticket and add a second attachment to the ticket then it works.

Issue is only on the new tickets not sending out the attachent.

How can I fix this please.

I'm with Go Daddy and came across each of your posts.

Have either of you been able to get your attachments on your tickets to send out?

If not or if you have any additional concerns feel free to reply to me a send me a private message.

I never had issues with attachments going out. However is was always using the built in php mail.

I did have issues with using the IMAP and POP due to go daddy being a shared hosting environment. They don't allow for you to modify the needed items to make it work without a dedicated server.

Thanks for your reply.

The email being sent from the server goes through an email relay. Based on your responses it appears you need mail that is sending directly from the server? It is true that a dedicated server solution would be needed to accomplish this as we keep the mail servers separate from the shared hosting servers your site is hosted on.
