Both the current releases are from last summer. The stable release 1.10.4 only works up to PHP 7.0 (flawlessly with 5.6). The 1.11.0-RC1 is the only release that works with PHP 7.1 having security support until 1 Dec 2019, while only PHP 7.2 & 7.3 has active support (https://secure.php.net/supported-versions.php). This kind of forces to use the RC1 over the stable release.
The RC1 has 306 pull request, among them this and many other bugs fixed. Yet, there's no RC2 published fixing any of these issues during these months. Frankly, this will eventually drive out your users. You need to make your code compatible with PHP 7.3.
