Hi,I'm facing the following problem: I want the language of the emails sent to the user/agent to be set according to the language gui he/she has chosen. So:Is GUI the language preference of the user held in any table? Can this be used to set the template set accordingly? As far as I've learned there are only two possibilities to change the email template language: globally (emails -> settings) or for each department (agents -> departments). Any other possibilities please?kr,wouter

@[deleted]At this time that's the only two ways to use the translated templates. Is GUI the language preference of the user held in any table?Yes, but only if the User has an account. This is stored in the `ost_user_account` table under the `lang` column. The User can update this via their Profile. Can this be used to set the template set accordingly? In theory, yes.I hope this helps! Cheers.

@[deleted]ok thanks! That's wat I was thinking. Guess I'll stick to one language for the mails, developping something based on this `ost_user_account` table seems too hard for what it would bring up for us.kr,wouter

We are using two languages in our company. For this I edited templates as attached.

@[deleted]Thanks. You mean you have 1 email with the two languages combined? We're still in doubt. Only 10% of the users are speaking antother language so sending the 2 to every user may be a littlle overkill.Anyway, thanks for your input we'll think about it.kr,wouter

@ Has been any progress on this issue? Are there any plans to make email templates sensitive to the language selected by the user?

This thread is 2 years old. You can already setup different templates for languages.

Killing zombie thread with a head shot.
