HiI have a client we would like us to upgrade their OSTicket, I am not sure if it can be done on the current server,I have tried going to 1.10.1 which gave HTTP 500 errors and when trying 1.9.16 the upgrade process gavea lot of errors and would not proceed, this may be due to the current server, can anyone advise if it is possiblewith the following server specs.OSTicket Version 1.6 STRed Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.11Apache 2.2.3PHP 5.1.6 (cli)PHPINFO shows 5.3.14mysql  Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.95, for redhat-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 5.1 Many thanks in advance.

There's a couple of threads about this and i think they've suggested to do it step wise, so 1.6.X->1.7.X->1.8.X->1.9.X->1.10.XBut i've never worked with anything below 1.9 so have no experience with that.As for your enviroment you should update your php to 5.6 and i think you need 2.4 apache, but that i'm more uncertain of.

It's my understanding that if you are running 1.6ST, you should be able to upgrade to 1.10.1 directly. That being said there was a time when I would have advised doing incremental upgrades, but I was told that they fixed a couple issues with it.If you are running anything becore 1.6ST (such as a DPR or RC) you need to upgrade to ST first. Also I note that your version of PHP is equally ancient I think that you can only run 1.6 and 1.7 on that version of PHP.  I think 1.8+ requires PHP 5.3, and 1.9+ and 1.10+ run best on 5.6.  1.10 was where PHP7.0 support was introduced. So you would need to upgrade PHP to upgrade to current.
