All,I have osticket fetching emails from an email queue and auto creating tickets from them - all good. Some of them have the senders name in the 'From' field, whilst others just have a generic name of our organisation in them. I've been mucking around with the configuration and I don't know if I've changed a setting, or if the system is just auto creating this according to something that is in the email. Can anyone shed some light on this? It would be good to have the senders name in the 'From' field in the newly created ticket.Cheers,Nick

You can create your user accounts by exporting them from AD/LDAP, and importing them into osTicket.Otherwise when people create accounts by sending an email it will use whatever it can use and will be generic otherwise.

Excellent, thanks for that - it appears now to be picking up most of the user names from the email on the cron fetch - I haven't played with the import function either - just found it and will have a play with that too. Thanks again.

Very welcome. If you have further questions, concerns, comments, etc please feel free to star t a new thread.  I'll mark this one as resolved and close it.
