Q: Is it possible to connect OsTicket 1.19.12 to MS SQL Server 2008?A: Yes it's "possible". But it would not be a simple transition as the product was written for MySQL/MariaDBQ: Did anyone it successfully?A: Not that I know of.Q: Have anyone has experience with it?A: Not that I recall anyone ever posting about since I have been a forum moderator.
Thank you for reply. I read many posts and also couldn`t find. Can you tell me please which files are responsible for connection. I think it should be 2-3 files and all another pages just call it with function. To say the truth, I could not find exactly file that contain only connection codes. I found only some connection codes in these files bellow:1) ost-config.php2)main.inc.php3)mysql.phpWhich files are also contain connection function parameters?
You would have to utilize search across all the files of the core files to find all the places...
Maybe it will be enough just edit mysql.php? I see that all connection codes in that files, rest only calling it
Someone in another forum told me that if OsTicket has PDO or ORM than it is possible to connect it to sql sever. Only need to instal driver and add some code. Can I post here link of topic from another forum? Maybe It gonna help to OsTicket users and also for me.
Q: Maybe it will be enough just edit mysql.php?A: Not in the slightest.Q: Someone in another forum told me that if OsTicket has PDO or ORM than it is possible to connect it to sql sever.A: osTicket is not ORM yet, its in the process of being transitioned, so it is not possible with out a ton of editing. You would have to utilize search across all the files of the core files to find all the places and edit the core files.Q: Can I post here link of topic from another forum?A: You can... but I dont see what the point would be since obv the person has no idea what the osTicket codebase is like if they are suggesting using PDO/ORM at this point.
Thank you for replay. I think you can close the topic. I am already connected it with mysql. I read that mysql stable for such think like OsTicket even with huge data adn no need for ms sql server. It is most important.
